We are seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Field Sales Consultant & Estimator who is passionate about sales and thrives in a commission-only environment. As a Field Sales Consultant at Five Star Painting of Chesapeake, you will have the freedom to work independently, create your own schedule, and be rewarded for your success with uncapped earning potential.  You will complete scheduled customer estimates and all steps of the Five Star Painting sales process to close the customer sale. The Field Sales Consultant & Estimator will also follow-up on all jobs, coordinating residential and commercial painting jobs through the scheduling and installation stages as well as serve as the focal point for communication among the various involved parties. We are seeking a candidate who has a passion to thrive in fast moving environments and can manage time to effectively meet deadlines. You must have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, community networking and events and social media.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Estimate projects using our web-based software system.
  • Present estimate and demonstrate the benefits of our products/services to potential customers.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Assign and manage paint crews to ensure projects are completed timely and with the highest quality.
  • Complete job site visits.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with the finished product.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and local competitor activity to help the team identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management/owners to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Good driving history.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications/What's Required to be Successful

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a commission-only role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand and articulate product/service features and benefits.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting for new business.
  • Basic proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other sales tools.
  • Reliable transportation to get to client appointments
  • Must Currently Reside in Territory (Chesapeake/Hampton Roads)
