Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive estimates for painting projects, building strong relationships with clients, and closing sales. This role is critical to our business as it directly impacts our ability to secure and successfully deliver projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Meet with potential clients to discuss their painting needs, assess the scope of the project, and provide expert advice on color choices, finishes, and materials.
- Estimating: Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for residential and commercial painting projects, considering labor, materials, and time.
- Proposal Preparation: Develop and present comprehensive project proposals, including timelines, pricing, and terms, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Sales Conversion: Follow up with leads, answer client questions, and work to close sales by building trust and demonstrating the value of our services.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact through project completion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure that all project details are communicated clearly and that client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed about local market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices to continually improve our estimating process.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales estimating, preferably in the painting, construction, or home improvement industries.
- Skills: Strong understanding of painting processes, materials, and techniques; ability to produce accurate and detailed estimates.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of closing sales, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing outstanding customer service, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), estimating software, and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits.
